Wednesday, March 22, some of the high school scholars received hands-only CPR training. According to Nurse Parrish, students are required to become familiar with CPR prior to graduation. Senate Bill 2185, which passed in 2015, requires all high school graduates to have hands-on training in CPR before graduation. With this new requirement, the American Heart Association has been working to place the equipment needed to conduct such a training in high schools throughout Mississippi. Our training was led by Kim Bridges RN of King’s Daughters Medical Center.
