“Freedom isn’t free” speaker reminds Memorial Day crowd

The Memorial Day service held in the Courtroom of the Copiah County Courthouse on Monday was again well attended and enjoyed.  The annual event is sponsored by the Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce.
Speaker Maj. Gen. David McElreath of the Mississippi Army National Guard told the crowd of around 80 that “freedom isn’t free, and we have to honor those who paid the price for all of us.”.
