Willie Frank “SKEET” Butler

Willie Frank “Skeet” Butler, 57, of Beauregard, died Monday, July 24, 2017, at his home.

Services will be held Saturday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m. from St. Peter Rock M.B. Church, 1004 Turner St., Wesson, with Pastor Albert Brown officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove M.B. Cemetery with Hazlehurst Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Butler was born December 11, 1959 to James and Ethel Mae Brooks Butler in Wesson. He was a member of St. Peter Rock M.B. Church. After he graduated from Copiah-Lincoln High School in 1977, he worked for Winn-Dixie and eventually Jitney Jungle, where he was a store manager for more than 25 years. In 2005 he and his nephew founded Skeetburger Snackshop, which he helped manage for 12 years.

Survivors include: daughter, April (Wade) Tanner, Jr. of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Wade III, Anye’, and Zanvier; sisters, Betty M. Motley, Bernice Fisher, and Gleneva B. Smith; brothers, Wilbert (Margaret) Butler, Chance Butler, Prentiss Butler, Wilmer (Lettie) Butler, and Johnny (Laverne) Butler, all of Wesson; and friend, Mary Jane Smith of Brookhaven
