Colonels fall 19-0 at Parklane; host Winston Academy on Friday

The Copiah Academy Colonels and Parklane Academy Pioneers slugged at each other in a scoreless tie for over two-and-one-half quarters on Friday night on a muddy field in McComb. The two teams traded punts and missed opportunities until the Pioneers broke through on the score board with just over four minutes left in the third quarter.  The hosts added two more scores and kept the Colonels out of the end zone to win 19-0.

FINDING DAYLIGHT – Copiah Academy running back Nick Greenlee (30) gets a seal block from lineman Ethan Boyd (56) with halfback Connor Jones (25) leading the way around the right side leading to a nice gain for the senior in Friday’s loss to Parklane Academy.  The Colonels are back at home on Friday to play Winston Academy.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00, and rain is forecast.
