Hazlehurst and Wesson plan Patriot Day parades

Hazlehurst United Methodist Child Care & Preschool will host their annual Patriotic Parade Monday, Sept. 11. Hazlehurst Mayor Shirley Sandifer will lead the parade as Grand Marshal. The parade will line up at 10 a.m. in front of the child care center and begin at 10:30.

Wesson Baptist Kindercare children, teachers and parents will hold the annual Patriot Day Parade through downtown Wesson on September 11.  The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the church, heads south to the four-way stop, then turns back north and terminates at the church. A. C. Currie of American Legion Drane-Prine Post 79 will lead the parade, toting a large American flag.
