Visit Hazlehurst High School
The Hazlehurst High School Healthcare and Clinical Services students received a visit from ASAP Ambulance Service August 23. The guest speakers were Deon McIntosh Sr. and David Flowers, both of the ASAP Ambulance Service Hazlehurst Station. The speakers shared information about the career opportunities in Emergency Services along with some of their job responsibilities as a Paramedic and EMT. The students had an opportunity to learn the importance of good patient assessment during an emergency situation and see some of the medications that the EMT’s have available. On behalf of Hazlehurst High School Career and Technical Education, we would like to thank Mr. McIntosh and Mr. Flowers for sharing their encouraging words, knowledge, passion, and love for their jobs with the students.
