Morris ‘Bilbo’ Wilson Jr.

Morris “Bilbo” Wilson Jr., 84, Crystal Springs, died Sept. 27, 2019 at his home. Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 22, 1934 to Morris and Julia Wilson of Crystal Springs. He was a faithful member of New Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Crystal Springs, and was married to Catherine Jenkins Wilson. He worked at Jackson Packing Company for 40 years and Adolphe Lafonte when the packing company closed. Preceding him in death were his daughter, Geraldine Wilson Ayers; parents; brothers, T. J. Wilson, Evarlee Wilson, Troy Wilson, L. W. Wilson, Roy Wilson and Robert Wilson and sister, Maggie Wilson Flowers. Services were Oct. 6 at New Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Hazlehurst Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Survivors are his wife; son, Sylvester (Debrina) Wilson of Peoria, Ill.; daughters, Linda (Harvey) Minor and Ollie Faye (Johnnie) Bass, both of Crystal Springs and Brenda Harris of Kileen, Texas; sister, Rebecca Marie (Andrew) Pickering of Clinton; nine grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
