CSHS Tigers suffer second loss of season

TIGER running back Johnnie Daniels gains ground against Velma Jackson last Friday night. Crystal Springs High School hosts Yazoo County for Senior Night this Friday night.
Crystal Springs High School’s last Friday night’s game with Velma Jackson was expected to be the toughest so far this season. It was. The 32-13 defeat on Crystal Springs’ home field dropped the Tigers to 5-2 overall and 1-2 in district play. This Friday night’s Senior Night marks the last regular season home game for Crystal Springs. Yazoo County is the opponent. “Yazoo County is a good team,” McNair stated. “We can’t afford to turn the ball over like we did against Velma Jackson. We’ve also got to stop their big play potential. If we can do those two things and play our game we will be all right. “We need to clean up last week’s mistakes and win our seniors’ last home game. It will mean a lot to them and to the coaching staff, too.”
