Region 8 Mental Health hosts annual Awards Ceremony

This award is presented to an administrative employee that exemplifies, through their actions, a model of leadership and who has made significant contributions through their giving spirit to the Region 8 Mental Health Commission, its employees, and citizens served by the agency. Region 8 Mental Health agency held their 2019 annual Awards Ceremony at the Hinds Community College Muse Center in Pearl. Employees were honored for outstanding performance, professionalism, and tenure. Among those awards was the Commissioners’ Award of excellence presented to an administrative employee that exemplifies, through their actions, a model of leadership and who has made significant contributions through their giving spirit to the Region 8 Commission, its employees and citizens served by the agency. The Professional Excellence Award was given to the most dedicated to their profession and has the interest of every individual as their number one priority. They exemplify intgrity, compassion and commitment, while also consistently striving to go above and beyond to meet consumer and family needs. The Milinda Clark “Power of 8” Memorial Award was given to a Region 8 employee that embodied the true “Spirit and Heart” of Region 8. The specific criteria for this award were the true, undeniable characteristicsof former employee, Milinda Clark. She motivated others to achieve and always led by example. Region 8 was honored to have her family in attendance to present this award. One of the most esteemed awards presented at the ceremony was the Power of 8 Award. Only a select few from Region 8’s five counties were recognized with this award for their unwavering commitment to outstanding performance. These employees exhibited strong character, leadership and integrity.
