Suspect sought in Hazlehurst shooting

Copiah County deputies are seeking a suspect in weekend shooting on Rob Road in Hazlehurst. According to Sheriff Byron Swilley, officers are searching for Edward Berry in the shooting that took place at a residence Saturday. Swilley described Berry as a 20 year old black male. Once arrested, he will be charged with aggravated assault. The victim is in stable condition, Swilley said and no motive has been determined.
