District trustees met via Zoom for regular session June 4 with Board President Paul Rhodes, Secretary Dr. Dan Jones, and Rev. Kenneth Thrasher comprising a teleconferencing quorum. Members absent were Alberta Nelson and Kevin Brown. Also attending were Board Attorney Carroll Rhodes and Superintendent Dr. Cloyd Garth Jr.
Trustees accepted a donation of four portable classroom buildings excessed from Pearl River County School District.
Dr. Garth advised the summer feeding program runs from June 1-July 17, featuring grab-and go breakfast and lunch free to anyone under 18, available on each campus.
The session adjourned. The next work session is July 23, with board meeting the following week on August 6. Both are open to the public and begin at 5:30 p.m. at the administration building across from Hazlehurst High School, 119 Robert McDaniel Drive.
