Supervisor award annual scholarships
The Mississippi Association of Supervisors annually awards two $500 scholarships per county to qualifying student applicants sponsored by a non-elected county employee or retired non-elected county employee. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and demonstrate community/civic involvement. They submit an essay choosing one county employee to research the duties and responsibilities of that position in specific and creative detail. Winners are to be enrolled and planning to attend an accredited public college or university or community college for the Fall 2020 semester. Recipients of the 2020 MAS Copiah County scholarships are Olivia Lewis and Parker Allen.
