Jail administrator terminated; funds investigated

The Copiah County Board of Supervisors met in an emergency called meeting Sept. 24 to discuss personnel matters in the sheriff’s office.
Following a lengthy executive session including Sheriff Byron Swilley and board members, Board Attorney Elise Munn reported that Joe Brown had been terminated as jail administrator for the Copiah County Sheriff’s Office.
