Sylvia Jean Saxon

Sylvia Jean Saxon, 81, of Pattison, passed away Sept. 3, 2021, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Graveside service was held Sept. 7 at New Providence Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Saxon was born March 20, 1940, in Vicksburg to James and Evelyn Twiner. She grew up in Copiah County and attended school in Allen before graduating from Port Gibson High School. On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1957, she entered into marriage with Gerald Dennis Saxon. She was a sales and marketing manager for Lincoln Manufacturing and Pioneer Marketing. Mrs. Saxon was a member of Port Gibson Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Saxon; daughters, Tamarah Jean Saxon-Oglesby and Meloney Saxon Boren, both of Pattison; brothers, Wilburn Lee Clyburn, of Richland; James Colon Twiner, of Brandon; and Wiley Joe Twiner, of Florida; sister, Winnie Biddleman, of Florida; granddaughter, Krystal Evelyn Lambert; great-granddaughter, Josephine Denise Jernigan; and great-grandson Benjamin Wesley Boren.
Pallbearers were Scott Twiner, Kery Hatcher, Jerry Jernigan, Brian Moore, Lacy Loyd, and Larry Loyd.
