Wesson wasted no time to attack as they received the opening kickoff and on their first offensive possession, quarterback Will Loy connected with Tarayvian Miller on a 52-yard pass-and-catch touchdown. The extra point attempt was no good but with 10:55 left in the first quarter, it was 6-0 in favor of the Cobras.

The extra point attempt was no good but with just three minutes and 55 seconds on the clock, the Cobras were up 12-0.
