Colonels run past Riverfield and Pelahatchie, continue winning ways

In back-to-back games played within the friendly confines of Colonel Stadium, the Copiah Academy Colonels have run away with commanding victories, taking their overall record to 3-0. The Colonels defeated Riverfield Academy 39-21 on Aug. 26 and ran away from Riverfield 46-6 this past Friday. Both games saw a commanding performance from the Colonel offense and a strong defensive effort that continues to get tougher each week.
Against Riverfield, the Colonels faced their first deficit of the season, trailing 14-12 at halftime thanks to a well-put-together second quarter from the visiting Raiders. The Colonels took control of both sides of the football in the second half to win the game.
