Bobby Breeden

Bobby Breeden, 85, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at his residence on Aug. 23, 2025. He was born on Nov. 29, 1939, to the late Robert and Ouida Breeden.

Bobby was a hardworking man who spent many years as a dragline operator for Green Brothers Gravel before his retirement. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for four years. A man of deep faith, Bobby was a member of Unity Baptist Church, where he was honored to serve as a founding deacon.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life–fishing, hunting, and working in his yard–but above all, he loved God and his family.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Martin Breeden; his daughters, Debra Denise McManus and Rhonda Fay Taylor and her husband, Scott; his grandchildren, Jason McManus, Brandy Passons and her husband, Preston, Kristin Amesbury and her husband, George, and Brookelyn Taylor; his great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Passons, Raegan Passons, William Amesbury, Wylder Amesbury, Madeline McManus and Aiden Amesbury; and his nephew, Scotty Breeden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clyde Breeden; his sister, Margie Breeden; and his nephew, Wesley Breeden.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, at Unity Baptist Church, and again on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Unity Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Georgetown Cemetery.
