Co-Lin to host veterans outreach event

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College will host a Veterans Services Outreach Event on Wednesday, March 20, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at The Thames Center on the Wesson Campus. The event is free and is for veterans only. Veterans must bring proof of service (i.e. DD Form 214, ID Card, VA Card, or any related document).

Services rendered will include eligibility determinations, VA registration, MyHealth E Vet enrollment, physical exams, patient education, benefit information and more.

Some of the agencies that will be on hand include the Department of Veterans Affairs, G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Vet Center, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, National Association of County Veterans Services Officers, and The American Legion.

Veterans will also have an opportunity to meet with Larry Wert, Special Assistant Veteran/Military Affairs and Grant Coordinator for Congressman Greg Harper.
