Hubert Ramsey

Hubert Deering Ramsey, 87, of Hazlehurst, passed away Jan. 15, 2025. The service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 17, at Stringer Family Chapel, with burial at Newhebron Cemetery. The visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Ramsey was a native of Copiah County. He loved to watch rodeos and raise his beagle puppies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sim Ramsey Jr. and Maude Etta Ferguson Ramsey; twin brother, Hurbert Ramsey; and brothers, Richard Ramsey and Sim Ramsey Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ramsey; sons, TD Ramsey (Candy), Tim Ramsey (Robin), and Lawrence Smith; daughter, Geraldine Merrell; grandchildren, Ryan Ramsey, Maggie Merrell, Chris Lewis, and Kyle Smith; and six great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Ramsey; and sister, Eloise Beasley.
