The first woman Circuit Court Judge for Copiah, Claiborne, and Jefferson counties, Tomeka Harris Irving; Miss Mississippi 2018, Asya Branch; and first woman mayor of the City of Hazlehurst, Mayor Shirley Sandifer, celebrated Women’s History Month at Providence Baptist Church, Sunday, March 31. The theme of the program was “Nevertheless, She Persisted.”
