Wesson ‘Christmas with Friends’ set for Dec. 14

Wesson Friends of the Library will again hold “Christmas With Friends” Dec. 14 from 5 until 7 p.m.

From 5-6:30, there will be strolling carols with area churches serenading people and stopping at businesses to carol as well.

The first treasure hunt begins at 5 p.m., followed by the second hunt at 6. All entrants from these hunts will put their guesses in a drawing to be held at City Hall at 6:30. When drawn, the first correct guess for each hunt will win, and all winners must be present to be awarded all prizes.

All choirs will meet at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. to sing three final carols. At the completion of these the drawings will be held.

There will be free hot cider and popcorn at the City Hall, along with story-tellers, one every 30 minutes at the library, along with face painting until 6:30 p.m. with a slide presentation. Elves will be around town giving out surprises.

Santa will be at the Wesson Volunteer Fire Department as usual to talk to the children and get their wish list for this Christmas. Don’t miss this event that has become a yearly one in the Town of Wesson.
