150th anniversary of railroad completion March 31
The Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the completion of the railroad that has meant so much to Copiah County.
On March 31, 1858, the president of the railroad drove the last spike here at Hazlehurst. George Hazlehurst was the master of ceremonies for the occasion.
A monument will be placed near the tracks on the south end of the Hazlehurst Depot Museum building on Monday, March 31, 2008, at 2:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce
