School board purchases liability insurance locally

The Copiah County School Board in recessed session June 18 purchased various liability insurance coverage for the district from the low bidder, Old South Insurance, in the premium amount of $111,132.

In other action, the following were employed: Tyrone Haley CSHS teacher, Saraah Belton CSHS teacher, Jane Taylor CSHS teacher, Siedia Woods CSMS teacher, Jeremy Dyess CSMS teacher, Martha Warner CSMS teacher and Melissa Vaughn CSES teacher. Terricka Coleman CSMS elementary was recommended for a one-year license.

The district acopted the domestic rate per diem for overnight travel related to district duties.
