Christmas meals available to needy Copiahians

Kannu, owner of Country Catfish and Steakhouse in Hazlehurst, will once again be feeding needy Copiah Countians a free, hot meal this Christmas.  Partnering with the Copiah County Human Resource Agency and the Department of Human Resources, Kannu and his staff will serve the meals on Monday, December 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Vouchers for the meals can be picked up starting at 8:00 on the morning of Monday, Decemeber 22, at the Department of Human Resources on Georgetown Street.   Those in need of the meal will be given tickets after they register with DHS and must present the ticket at the restaurant between 2 and 4 p.m.  Country Catfish is located off Highway 28 west in Hazlehurst.  For more information, contact DHS at 601-894-4788.
