Donis A. Foote

Donis A. Foote, 90, of Brookhaven, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven.

Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, at 2:30 p.m. from Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive with interment in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Foote was born Feb. 16, 1918 to John WEsley Alderman and Minnie Wactor Alderman. She was a retired LPN, having worked for Dr. James E. Williams for 21 years and known to all as “Footsie.” She was past president of MS LPN Association and a member of Central Baptist Church, where she served in many areas.

Survivors include: son, Leslie Lamar Foote, Jr. and wife Sherry of Brookhaven; daughter, Jane Derrick and husband Robert of Wesson; three grandsons; and six great grandchildren.
