Full evening planned for Relay For Life
A full schedule of fun, fellowship, and entertainment is planned for the 2009 Copiah County Relay For Life, set for this Friday evening at the county fairgrounds in Gallman.
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with the survivors reception. All cancer survivors are encouraged to attend. Music will be provided by New Again of Copiah County. New Again includes Clay Foster, Eric Wicker, Allen Marler, Stacey Goodman, and Brad Goodman.
From 7:00 to 7:30 Cindy Assink will entertain, along with interpretetive dance by Sereah Pickett. From 7:30 to 8:30 By Faith will be on stage, followed by Jimmy Dixon and his daughter from 8:30 to 9:00 as well as Cindy Assink. Practice will perform from 9:00 to 10:00.
The luminary ceremony, a moving part of the annual Relay events in which candles are lit in honor and in memory of cancer victims, will be held from 10:00 to 10:30 p.m.
From 10:30 to midnight, entertainment will include Eric Sharp.
