VFD members train on Jaws of Life

JAWS OF LIFE TRAINING – Members of six volunteer fire departments attended training in Wesson last Tuesday evening on the proper use and maintenance of the Jaws of Life. The Jaws are a vital tool in rescue operations which allows emergency personnel to free people trapped in wrecked vehicles. During the training the volunteer emergency responders learned to break glass safely and keep the victims protected from the broken glass and metal. Training included a video as well as hands on experience
