BARL to hold adoption event in Wesson on March 27

The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League (BARL) will hold an Adoption Event on Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Los Lobos Cafe in Wesson.  The cafe is located on Hwy 51 across from Copiah Bank. This event will feature live music, food and adoptable BARL animals.

The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League is a nonprofit, no-kill, volunteer-based animal welfare group serving Copiah, Franklin and Lincoln counties.  BARL offers food, shelter and basic veterinary care for orphaned and abandoned animals until they can be placed into a home.  

All BARL animals are vet checked, current on vaccinations and spayed/neutered before adoption.  The dogs are also micro-chipped.  Adoption fees are $60 per dog and $50 per cat.

In addition to seeing adoptable animals at Adoption Events, the public may visit BARL’s Adoption Center located at in Brookhaven at 501 Northpark Drive next to Delphi.  The Adoption Center is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 1-4 p.m.
