Police investigating Pizza Hut robbery

Two black males held up the Hazlehurst Pizza Hut on Highway 28 at gunpoint on Sunday evening, according to Byron Swilley, chief of the Hazlehurst Police Department.
Around 9 p.m., the two men entered the restaurant, showing their guns, and asked for money from the clerk at the register.  The clerk cooperated with their demands, and the two individuals fled on foot into a wooded area behind the restaurant.
No customers were in the restaurant at the time and no employees were hurt.
Investigators from HPD are following leads.  Swilley said that anyone with any information that will lead to an arrest and conviction of the suspects should contact the police department at 601-894-1181 or Central Mississippi Crimestoppers at 1-888-8CRIME(27463).
