Take a break and come to the KCCB Kickoff next Wednesday!

Nora Berch, County Coordinator of Keep Copiah County Beautiful, invites everyone to the Kickoff next Wednesday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at the pavilion in downtown Hazlehurst.
Children from HUMC Daycare and several area community leaders will line up at the field across from Korner Kleaners at 100 Georgetown Street.  The paraders will march over the bridge up Gallatin Street, turn north on Caldwell Drive, turn east on Green Street and wind up at the pavilion.
Mayor Henry Banks will provide opening remarks.  Marie Watts, who was the major force behind the start of KCCB some 20 years ago, will be honored.  The KCCB mascot, Boomer, will be attending And, Mackenzie Sullivan, a student at Wesson Attendance Center, will sing a special song written by local author and artist Sandra D. Matthews.
Everyone is invited to attend the kickoff, which precedes the annual Copiah Clean-up scheduled for Saturday, April 9.
