Indians plate 64 total runs in 4 victories

The Hazlehurst Indians (12-3) picked up a pair of district wins over Wilkinson County and also won the Hazlehurst Tourney with wins over Prentiss and Pisgah.
“We are playing as well as we have since I have been here,” stated Indian head coach Vince Granberry.  “We are hitting it and pitching really well.”

Wilkinson County 1
The Indians smashed Wilkinson County behind a complete game one hitter from Gabriel Gray.  Gray struck out nine in picking up the win.
Willie Ervin had two hits and three RBI for the Indians while Kenny Coleman smashed a three run triple.  John Bridges had a two run single in the win for the Indians.

Wilkinson County 4
Marcus Jordan pitched the Indians to victory with a 6 hit, 8 strikeout performance.  Jarvis Warner pitched an inning of relief for the Indians.
Ervin had 4 RBI, a triple and a homerun for the Indians.  Gabriel Gray Doubled and singled and drove in two runs.  Marcus Jordan doubled and singled for the Indians in the eleven hit attack.

Prentiss 3
The Indians routed Prentiss behind a Houston Collins pitching effort which saw him notch two strikeouts.  Jarvis Warner pitched relief for the Indians.  
Devonte McKenzie blasted a home run and two singles while driving in three runs in the victory.  Bridges had two singles and an RBI in the victory.

Pisgah 11
Defense took a holiday as the Indians pounded 22 hits in the win over the Dragons.  Kenny Coleman picked up the win for the Indians striking out two.
McKenzie blasted another home run while Warner hit a double, triple and two singles.    Marcus Jordan had the same fate with a double, triple and two singles in the huge win for the Indians.  Bridges had three hits and a triple.  Bridges, Jonkil Skipper, and Warner drove in three runs each.
