First Baptist sponsors July 4th activities

Fun, food, fireworks and more are in store for all those who attend the 4th of July celebration at Lake Hazle in Hazlehurst.  
The Great Commission 4 Miler Run/Walk will kick-off the day’s events.  Race day begins with packet pick-up and race day registration at First Baptist Church at 6:30 a.m. on July 4th. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. and the course will close at 9:00 a.m.  Awards will be presented to overall and age group winners.  To pre-register, go to HazleGo4th.com to download the registration form; then mail it along with your registration fee as directed on the application.  The July 4th celebration continues from 1:00 p.m. until dusk with music, games, food, fellowship and much more. There will be inflatable games, face painting, and lots of other activities for kids.  It will be a day of fun for the entire family!  The exciting professional fireworks will be presented at dark.  Everyone is invited to this fun packed day sponsored by First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst.    
The Great Commission 4 mile walk/run will start in front of First Baptist Church on Caldwell Drive in Hazlehurst at 7:30 a.m.  
A one mile “kids” fun run will immediately follow the race. Race applications are available at many local businesses, at HazleGo4th.com, or by calling the church office at 601-894-2767.
Early registration is encouraged to secure a t-shirt but race day registration is available as well. The walk/run is the kick-off event of the Go4th community outreach event sponsored by the church.  
At 1 p.m. the festivities will continue at Lake Hazle with games, food, music, and family fun!  
The Go4th events wind down at dusk with a huge fireworks display over the lake, beginning at dark. The entire community is invited!
