Retiring CCEDD Executive Director Neil Honan
During a rather brief meeting of the Copiah County Economic Development District’s Board of Trustees, current Executive Director Neil Honan announced his retirement today. The meeting was held at Co-Lin’s Thames Center. Honan, who is 70, thanked the many public and private organizations with which he has worked in the position since 2003. “Especially helpful and supportive has been the Board of Supervisors,” he added. Honan notified the organization’s executive board earlier in the day. A search for the next person to fill Honan’s position is already under way. Some 8 applications have already been provided to the executive committee, who will recommend a candidate at a later trustees meeting.
