Teen convicted of murder

Lester Levon Parker, Jr. will spend the rest of his natural life in prison for killing his step grandfather on January 23, 2011 so said a jury on last Wednesday.
The jury deliberated less than an hour before returning the guilty of murder verdict. The jury had to two options murder and manslaughter.
Parker slumped over on the table as Edna Stevens Circuit Clerk published the verdict.  His mother burst into tears even though Judge Lamar Pickard warned of dire consequences if there were any emotional outburst.
Judge Pickard showed a mercy on Parker’s distraught mother the severity of the verdict registered.
Her agonized cries,  finally, prompted him to allow her to be lead out of the courtroom without any accessing any penalty for breaking with the rules of court etiquette.
