The 2011 Hazlehurst Middle School football team is champion of the Central MS Athletic Conference.
After a very slow start, the Indians kicked off the season with explosive win over Carver Middle School. They followed that with an exciting pair of victories over Crystal Springs and Utica to conclude the regular season.
The Indians claimed the second seed in the conference and hosted Crystal Springs in the first round of post season lead by running back Michael Miller, and slot backs Qua Henley and Malik Gray. With great blocking from the front five: Deante Mitchell, LeChris Hood, Cadarius Wing, Melvin Wiley, and Shauntavis Vardaman, quarterback Ladarrius Williams had no problem finding room to run.
The season was saved with a goalline stand, and ultimately, an interception and 94 yard touchdown return by free safety, Ladarrius Williams.
After a remarkable and exciting victory over Crystal Springs, the Indians faced Bolton-Edwards in the Central MS Athletic Conference Championship game in Crystal Springs. After a slow start, Qua Henley opened up the scoreboard with an electrifying scamper.
After another sack by outside lineback Wykeen Craft, the Indians were lead by head coach Herbert Loving, and assistants Michael Chandler, Michael Mason, and Antoine Short.
