Indians roll over SE Lauderdale; Advance in south 3A
The Hazlehurst Indians are back in a familiar spot, right in the thick of the south 3A tournament. They defeated S. E. Lauderdale in commanding fashion in Tuesday night, 72-50.
The Indians, 17-9, led by 20 at the half, 36-16, and cruised in the second half to claim the win.
Javarus Banks led the Indians with 20 points. Dedirick Reese, Trojuan White and Thaddeus Edwards all added 10 each to round out the Indians in double figures.
Hazlehurst just has to go up the road to Crystal Springs to continue on in the south 3A tournament. They face Seminary at 5:30 on Thursday.
The Crystal Springs Tigers also got a big win on Tuesday, knocking off Choctaw Central on the road, 70-67. Jerekius Davis scored a game-high 29, for the Tigers, followed by Adarius Miles with 22.
The Tigers will play Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
