Football, cheer camps on tap for Saturday at HHS
Last Call for registration for the first Annual NFL Super Bowl Championship Football and Cheerleader Camp is slated for this Saturday, June 30, in the Hazlehurst High School gym at 8 a.m.
Wednesday is the last day to register for the camp and receive a tee shirt.
Schedule of Events are 8 – 8:30 a.m. invocation by Pastor Lionell Corley, Chapel Hill followed by greetings from Mayor Henry C. Banks.
Participants will be placed in groups according to their age for the first session on the football field.
The group breaks for lunch at 11:45 a.m.
The afternoon session will begin at 1:30 p.m. with motivational speeches and an awards ceremony.
Former NFL stand out players Roy Lee Hilton and Lawrence Pillers have enlisted these current and former NFL players to conduct the camp: Ben Williams, Buffalo Bills, Jeffery Moore San Francisco 49ers, Eddie Payton, Detroit Lions, Vernon Perry, Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints, Donald Dykes, New York Jets, and special guest will be former Alcorn State University standout Wide Receiver and Detroit Lions Nat Hughes.
