Southern Pine working on power outages

Southern Pine reports scattered outages

 

TAYLORSVILLE, Miss. — Southern Pine Electric Power Association has numerous outages throughout its territory as of 7 a.m. this morning.  Crews are now back out working to restore power.

 

There are currently 8,787 total outages, with the most occurring in Covington, Lawrence, Simpson, and Copiah counties.  There are also wide spread outages in Smith, Rankin, Scott and Forrest counties.

 

We have crews from electric cooperatives in nearby states who have arrived to help, including Dixie Electric from Montgomery, Alabama. The company has also two contract crews already assisting in restoration.
