Lady Colonels on cusp of South State AAA fast-pitch championship

The defending MAIS AAA state fast-pitch softball champs are in position to make another state title run, thanks to a successful run in the South AAA tournament at Parklane Academy on Saturday.
The Copiah Academy Lady Colonels picked up a 5-3 win over Hillcrest in their only game on Saturday and faces Parklane at 11 a.m. today.  The Lady Pioneers defeated Presbyterian Christian and Jackson Prep to play their way into the semi-finals against the Lady Colonels.  The winner plays at 4:15 p.m., while the loser must work their way through the bottom bracket starting at 2:30.
