McGuffie, Nixon capture top prize in Co-Lin homecoming golf tournament

WESSON –Bobbie McGuffie and Benny Nixon captured first place in the championship flight of the annual Copiah-Lincoln Community College Homecoming Golf Tournament at Wolf Hollow Golf Club. The pair shot a 62.
Taking second place honors with a 65 was the team of Cody White and John Burns. Third place went to the team of Chris Lofton and Ricky McInnis at 65.
First flight winners were Ryan Case and Alex Shumake at 67. Justin Smith and Joseph Langham claimed second place with a 71 and Glynn Murray and Wayne Wilson finished third with 72.
Jonathan Kelly and JP McInnis took first place honors in the second flight with a 73. Second place winners were Will Lee and Charlie Case at 76. Capturing third place honors were Roland Ross and Mike Jones at 79.
On-course winners included Wayne Wilson, JP McInnis, and Lance Newman.
Eighteen teams participated in the two-man scramble.
