Greer joins Cain, Nelson on All-star roster

Cullen Greer of Wesson

Demetrius Cain of Hazlehurst

Joseph Nelson of Hazlehurst

Three senior players from Copiah County have been selected to play in the Bernard Blackwell All-star Classic in Gulfport on December 22.
Cullen Greer, (6’1, 249 lbs.) led the Wesson Cobras as an offensive and defensive lineman to a 7-4 record in 2012.
Joseph Nelson (6’5”, 340 lbs.) is one of the main reasons that the Hazlehurst Indians have been a 3A powerhouse the past couple of seasons.  He anchored the Front 5 on offense in 2011 as the Indians reached the 3A state title game.  In 2012, he’s picked up where he left off, dominating opposing defensive linemen.
Demetrius Cain (6’, 205 lbs) has also been one of the key cogs in the Indians’ wheel for many seasons.  He leads Hazlehurst with almost 1,300 rushing yards and 16 total TD’s.  He’s also recorded 74 tackles and intercepted 4 passes on defense.
The south squad members will report to camp at USM on Sunday, November 4.
