Community Art Series to present O’Conor-Takayama Duo

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Community Arts Aficionado Series will present pianist John O’Conor and violinist Akemi Takayama in concert on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Rea Auditorium on the college’s Wesson Campus.

The O’Conor-Takayama Duo is a collaboration of world-renowned pianist John O’Conor and violinist Akemi Takayama. O’Conor has already completed the Beethoven Piano Sonatas and Concertos; and Akemi has toured and performed the Beethoven quartet cycles with the Audubon Quartet. With O’Conor’s critically acclaimed Beethoven’s interpretations and Takayama’s experiencedchamber music skill, they will present the 10 Beethoven Sonatas for Piano and Violin as a dynamic and special feature.

Single performance tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for senior adults and students and will be available the night of the performance at the Co-Lin Business Office.
