Go 4th this Thursday at Lake Hazle
As our nation celebrates its freedom on July 4th, the place to be in Copiah County is beautiful Lake Hazle.
“On July 4th, our community will gather again under the trees at the lake for the 3rd Annual Go4th Celebration. Thousands from all throughout our city and beyond will enjoy a day together filled with fun for the entire family,” stated Pastor John Matthews, First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst (FBCH).
Go4th is sponsored by First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst.
After the Great Commission 4 Miler walk/run ends, the next event starts at 3:00 p.m. and end at dark.
There will be plenty of games and activities, food, music, fellowship, and a whole lot more. To top it all off, at dark all will sit back and enjoy a tremendous fireworks display over the lake.
“This professionally choreographed fireworks presentation is guaranteed to light up the sky and take your breath away. Here is the good part; everything at the lake is free,” continued Pastor Matthews.
“We at FBCH want to show the community not only how much the church loves them, but how much God loves them. Go4th is a way to do just that. The day provides the opportunity for the community to fellowship together and have a great time with the family; all at no cost to those coming. It is our church’s gift to the community,” explained Pastor Matthews.
The race is a 4 mile walk/run with a 1 mile fun run through beautiful Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
A BBQ plate fundraiser for this event will be on Saturday, June 29 in front of First Baptist Hazlehurst. Plates are $8.00 each with BBQ sandwich, two sides and dessert.
Plates can be bought in advance from a church member or in the church office. Please make plans to support this event by joining in the festivities!
