Lincoln County Wildlife Expo
Mark your calendars and get ready for the 2013 Lincoln County Wildlife Expo. The 2013 Expos is brought to you by Brookhaven Honda, Farmbelt Equipment, Super Talk of Brookhaven, and S&S Dragline of Brookhaven. The expo will feature vendors from all aspects of the outdoor world. Booths will range from taxidermy work, seed companies, and recreational vehicles to game calls, apparel, information and much much more! The weekend will feature outstanding shopping opportunities for both men and women with plenty of show deals and specials from our vendors. The weekend will provide a host of activities for the entire family.
The Expo will be held on Friday, September 13, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Lincoln Civic Center located at 1096 Beltline Drive, Brookhaven.
New this year will be a heart pounding interactive hand-grabbing tank. Remember to bring a fresh change of clothes and a big dose of courage. Also, we’re recommending participants bring a clean change of underwear: Because after you crawl in the tank with a big ol’ Mississippi catfish, you’re gonna’ need it! The hand grabbing exhibit is brought to you by Nakster Nation and Paul Barnett Nissan.
Also this year, the expo will feature our first ever Trail Cam Contest sponsored by Ductz Hvac Services, Positive Pest Control and 95 Country of Natchez. All trail camera photos from the 2012-2013 season to current day can be entered. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded by a drawing. A cash prize will also be offered to the most “Unique” picture.
In addition, the weekend will have a 3D Pop-Up Archery Shoot-Out open to the public with a minimum charge. All students that participate in the AIMS program in school can shoot for free. The Shoot-Out is brought to you by Dungan Engineering and Brookhaven Broadcasting B92 and Magic 104.
The Daily Leader of Brookhaven and K106 of McComb will bring alligator hunter and trapper, Art Mott, to the Expo, Mott will bring a LIVE alligator for viewing and will be putting on demonstrations and answering questions about these popular reptiles. Also Wood-B-Creations is back to put on his chainsaw wood carving exhibitions. Come out and watch a piece of wood become a beautiful work of art right before your eyes.
