Hazlehurst came away from Meadville, Miss., on Friday night with a solid 42-15 win that kept the Indians on pace with Wilkinson County atop Region 7-3A.
“This is the first time this year that we’ve played all four quarters with complete focus and intensity,” said Indian head coach Randal Montgomery.
The Indians wasted little time in denting the scoreboard. Running back D’Alex Rockingham raced 67 yards on the opening play from scrimmage for a touchdown, giving Hazlehurst a 6-0 edge 19 seconds into the game.
