Smith, Tanner, and Jones honored at Eagle Scout Court of Honor

SCOUTS WITH AWARDS – Randy K. Smith (left) is the son of Randy and Elaine Smith, D’Quavius V. Tanner (middle) is the son of Eric B. Tanner, Sr. and the late Deborah Tanner, and Jarvis Jones (right) is the son of David and Sheila Jones, all of Hazlehurst.

The Hazlehurst Boy Scouts, Troop/Pack 142 held their Eagle Scout Court of Honors Banquet on Sunday Oct. 6. The ceremony took place at the Greater Damascus Outreach Building. Three Boy Scouts from Troop 142 were awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. Receiving the rank of Eagle Scout were Randy K. Smith, D’Quavius V. Tanner, and Jarvis Jones.

Eagle Scout is the highest advancement rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program. These three Scouts have met all the necessary requirements needed to become Eagle Scouts.

Troop/Pack 142 is proud of the accomplishments made by these Scouts. They are the first three to reach the status of Eagle Scout for Troop 142. The Scouts would like to thank their Charter Organization, Greater Damascus Church of Christ Holiness, Pastor Elder Clifton Goodloe, Jr., Troop/Pack 142, and the community for all their support on the road to becoming Eagle Scouts.
