Cobras fall to Franklin County on Senior Night

Wesson’s seniors played their last game at home last Friday night against the Franklin County Bulldogs. The Cobras again lost in a big way. The final score was 34-6, Bulldogs winning big.
Wesson had 41 rushes for 157 yards. Wesson’s leading rusher was Michael Hauer with 9 rushes for 69 yards. Otis Smith also had 18 carries for 50 yards. Tyler Christmas threw 6 for 10 for 41 yards. Three of those passes were caught by wide receiver Farrod Green.
Cornelius Barlow lead the Cobra defense with 3 tackles. Wesson had 210 total yards with 14 first downs. Franklin County had 24 rushes for 261 yards and went 1 for 2 through the air for an additional 16 yards. The Bulldogs ended the night with 277 total yards on offense.
Wesson will play their final game of the year at Wilkinson County High School in Woodville on Friday night, facing the Wildcats. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
