The Tylertown Chiefs rolled into Hazlehurst on a dreary Friday night looking to upset the defending 3A champs in the south state semi-finals. The fans again packed the stands in support of the Indians and witnessed a dandy.  Hazlehurst trailed 12-7 at halftime, took the lead in the third period, then blew it open in the fourth quarter with a  late 100 yard pick-6 interception return and won 34-12.
Hazlehurst got on the board first with quarterback Jarvis Warner’s 5 yard touchdown late in the first quarter.  Kicking specialist Dycelious Reese added the extra point to put the Indians ahead 7-0.
Tylertown jumped on the board early in the second period with a one yard run and added a 9 yard rushing touchdown later in the quarter to take a 12-7 lead at halftime.
