Lady Indians fall 72-59 in 3A semis to Belmont Lady Cardinals

CROCKETT ACTION SHOTS HANDS UP! – Hazlehurst’s Latasha Arnold fires a long three pointer over a Belmont defender as Lady Cardinal head coach Chris Higginbottom yells “Hands up!” to his player. Belmont sent Hazlehurst home from the Big House with a 72-59 state 3A semi-final win on Saturday. They will face Booneville in the state title game this week.

The Hazlehurst Lady Indians’ Cinderella season came to an end Saturday night against the Belmont Lady Cardinals in the MHSAA state tournament at Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.  Belmont, the north 3A champs, built an early 14 point lead and cruised to the win, 72-59.
