Hood reunion held at Dark Hollow

The 52nd Annual Thomas Luther and Catherine Gibson Hood descendants’ reunion was held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Dark Hollow.  There was approximately 120-130 in attendance.

There were family members attending for the first time this year and I am sure after all the good food and visiting with families that they had not seen in many years, they will return again next year.  We had family from Arkansas, Louisiana Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas and of course, right here in Mississippi. 

Our oldest family member, 90 year old, Mrs. Miriam Brown. Mrs. Brown is the daughter of Johnny and Geneva Wood Nelson of Brandon.  The youngest family member present at the reunion was Mallory Runnels, the sweet  9 month old daughter of T. J. and Carrie Morse Runnels. 

Our reunion is held each year on the Sunday before Father’s Day. We hope you will bring your family, food and memorabilia to come and join us next year.
